NUFFIELD AWARD PLAN.
SENATE GIVES APPROVAL. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Thursday. Approval of a suggested scheme for making colonial nominations for Nuffield awards in medicine was given by the N.Z. University Senate to-day. The procedure,? planned was outlined in a report presented by the executive committee. The Oxford committee had sent .forward, a scheme and. the Australian and New Zealand conference of vice-chancellors had assisted in completing a scheme of rotation for nominations by South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
Dr. A. J. Harrop was appointed the senate's representative on the Council of the Universities' Bureau, Dr. Elizabeth Bryson and the vice-chancellor on the National Council .of Adult Education, and Mr. K. M. Gresson in place of Mr. K. M. Algic (resigned) on the Council of Legal Education.
