Burke, against Footloose, winner of the Kaponga Hack Handicap on the second day of the Stratford Racing Club's summer meeting on January 3, on the grounds that Footloose started from the rails position instead of from the outside ibertli, which lie drew, were dismissed by the judicial committee. of the Stratford Racing Club after the resumption of the adjourned inquiry to-night. It was further resolved that as no evidence had been adduced to prove collusion or corrupt practice among the parties concerned, the stakes be paid in accordance with the judge's placings. R. W. Savage, rider of Footloose, was suspended for two months as from February 2 for taking an unfair advantage at the start. This penalty is additional to one of £5 imposed by the starter on the day of the race. FOR AUSTRALIA. Three very promising two-year-olds from the Te Awamutu district are to leave for Australia by tile Wanganella from Auckland to-day (says our correspondent) . They will have their early racing in Melbourne, if present intentions ure carried out, for all are to go to J. Fryer, One. of the trio is a very nice wellgrown brown colt by Foxbridgs from Quinkama, and therefore a half-brotlier to Namakia, who is in Fryer's charge in Australia. This fellow will race as Ngareliu, and he shows distinct quality, and a kindly disposition. He is owned by Dr. C. Bluiidell. The other colt is owned, by Fryer, and is by Foxbridge from Green Linnet that has been reared by Mr. Cleland at Kio Kio. The third member is a filly owned by Air. Cleland, Mid is also by Foxbridge.
