FIRE AT WILSON HOME.
PROMPTLY «XTIMOUUHED. An outbreak of fire occurred al the Wilson Home for Crippled. Children this morning. A quantity of inflammable cleaning material had been left on a stand Reside a gas califont, and when fumes from it reached the flame of the califont it burst into flames. The fire was seen by the matron, who immedi-J ately brought a fire extinguisher into use. The Takapuna Fire Brigade was summoned, but the flames had beeni extinguished before they arrived. The wooden stand of the califont was charred by fire and the walls of the room slightly damaged by etmoke.
