PROTEST LODGED.
Arrest of Japanese by Singapore Police. FOREIGN OFFICE ACTION. Independent Cable Service. (Received 9.30 a.m.) LONDON", January 25. The Japanese Foreign Office states that representations are being made to London against the arrest at Singapore of several prominent Japanese, says a message from Tokyo. Police are still examining the documents seized during last, week's raids on Japanese hotels and business premises in Singapore. No arrests have been made yet, and it is understood none are likely, says a message from Singapore.
