SATIRIC U.S. PLAY.
Fifty Policemen Quell * Demonstration. GOVERNMENT'S WARNING. (Received 12.30 p.m.) MONTREAL, January 25. After fifty policemen had quelled a demonstration against the American stage play "Pins and Needles," the civic censors ordered the deletion of scenes satirically depicting Mr. Chamberlain, Herr Hitler and Signor Mussolini at Munich. The Provincial Government warned the producers that the play may be banned entirely should it cause further demonstrations.
