RETURN FROM SPAIN.
NURSES' HONOURED. ENJOYABLE DINNER PARTY. A dinner in honour of Sister Shadliolt and Xurse Dodds, who recently returned from Spain, was given in the Auckland Hotel 011 Tuesday evening by their expatients from ward Xo. 1 of the Auckland Hospital. The dinner, which was arranged by Mr. ('. Young, was well attended, a lar<re number of the nurses' ex-patients being present to congratulate them on their good work in Spain. Mr. P. Long was in the chair and he spoke of the excellent work that Sister Shadbolt and Xurse Dodds had done, both in Spain and for the former patients in the Auckland Hospital. Sister Shadbolt was presented with a bouquet by Mr. (J. Young and the Rev. H. Johnston presented a bouquet to. Xurse Dodds. Mr. A. \V. Bishop, a member of the Auckland Hospital Board proposed a toast to the Xurse* and the Nursing Division, and made particular mention of the work done by Sister Shadbolt and Xurse Dodds." After dinner interesting reminiscences of'their work in Spain were given by the two nurses.
