NEW ZEALAND SURGEON. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) GISBORXE, this day. Dr. and Mrs. A. L. Singer, of Gisborne. have received advice that their son. Surgeon-Lieutenant H. G. Singer, R.X., had been appointed to H.M.S. Gloucester, a new warship to be commissioned at Portsmouth in February and to proceed to Indian waters to become flagship of the East Indian Fleet. Surgeon-Lieutenant Singer recently joined the Navy, and is at present stationed at Portsmouth.
