GOOD CLEARANCES. 85 PER CENT SOLD. CONTINENTAL BUYERS KEEN. The official report of the Auckland Woolbrokers' Association states: — The second Auckland wool sale opened this morning at the Town Hall with an offering of 24,000 bales. The wool ojyened up in fair average condition, while prices for most lines showed an easing on the rates ruling at the first sale in November. The comj>etition was animated within restricted limits. Continental buyers were the principal operators, supported by Bradford and U.S.A. Japanese buyers also operated to some extent. Cootl clearances were effected, approximately B."> per cent being sold under the hammer. Fine and good wools did not command their usual premium.
