PIG IRON DISPUTE.
Withdrawal of Application of Licensing Act. FEDERAL PROCLAMATION. (Received 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. As a wult of_ the settlement of the Port Kembla pig iron dispute a Federal proclamation has been issued withdrawing the application of licences at Port Kembla. . "V"" The steamer Dalfram, which -figured largely in the dispute, arrived at Sydney yesterday for docking and cleaning consequent upon her two months' idleness, and will return to Port Kembla to-day to load the pig. iron. It is estimated that the strike, which also involved over 3000 steel -works employees, cost the men £250,000. Three weeks must elapse before the steel works will be in full operation and at maximum production.
