SHEEP-STEALING CHARGE. CHRISTCHURCH OFFENCE. (By Telegraph.— I'ress Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. One man escaped, but later both frankly admitted to the police that they had gone into the paddock for the purpose of stealing alieep. Stokes had been before the Court previously. Last Saturday, said counsel, Havwood had gone with Stokes to Belfast and had got very drunk. Haywood had acted as lie did under the influence of liquor.
