COVENT GARDEN BALLET. It is announced to-day that no advance booking for the season of the Covent harden Russian ballet will be accepted alter 5 p.m. on Monday next. BaJleta ;or the first four nights and Satuiday matinee beginning on Wednesday evening, I'ebru' I ary 1, ineluda "Carnival,'" "The Swan Lake ' and "Cinderella." For the three nights and Wednesday matinee beginning Monday evening, February 6, the ba'llets '-7 he Gods Go a'Begging," "Scheherazade ' and "Aurora's Wedding." Detaik of the programme for the remainder of the season will be announced later. A further supply of illustrated brochures will be available on Monday. ♦ The New Zealand season of the ballet is the culmination of the great love of ballet which 'Sew Zealand audienccs expressed during the last visit of tihe De Basil Company. The Covent Garden Russian BaJlet represents perhaps the greatest ballet tour to date. In size, the company far exceed, the famous tours of the past and the amount of its expenses constitutes a new mark in theatrical enterprise, the figure for the Australian and New Zealand tour being approximately £90,000.
