BUT KNEW OTAGO WELL. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DUNEDDf, this day. Deprived of his eight at the age of eight through meeting with an accident. Mr. Robert Ayson has died at Toiro, in his ninetieth year. Born in the Highlands of Scotland, he came to Otago in 1853. Notwithstanding the loss of his sight, he gained an incredible knowledge of the countryside and was able to travel, in any part of the Clutha district unaided. His blindness had no effect whatever! : upon his character, and he was always lof a most cheerful and happy dispoeii tion.
