One of the troubles of a milk vendor was ventilated liefore the Auckland Metropolitan Milk Council to-day, when A vendor was under cross-examination on the point of having sold milk to certain consumers at less than the fixed price. . He admitted that certain of hU client* were getting their bottled milk at less than the fined price, fie had taken these customer* over from another man ami thev Insisted that they had always paid the lower price and would get another milkman If they were charged more, He was aware that If the customers left him they would be able to get milk at the lower price. One of the board members said that this #jtie*timi w#i#* otie whirh troubled every milk supplier to some extent, and he thought the board should make it generally known that people who bought milk at lees than the fl*ed price Wefe liable to prosecution. The lioard agreed that customers who paid less than the legal price should be made aware of their liability, by notice at Hist, and later by prosecution. It was decided to issue notices to all milk vendors that by selling below the fixed price they were liable to prosecution and possible loss of license, and to notify them further that the customers so supplied Were liable to prosecution and fine,
