JUNIOR RED CROSS.
WORK IN THE SCHOOLS. The work of the Junior Red Cross in schools has progressed satisfactorily during the past year. The report of Mr. T. J. Bridgcr. the Director-General New Zealand Rod Cross, shows that the work in schools covers a comprehensive field and the instruction in first aid and home nursing is most enthusiastically received. This is emphasised by tlie fact that just on 1200 certificates in first aid and home nursing were issued to junior students durin" the year. The Junior Red Cross in schools' movement is now well established in the primary schools of New Zealand. Some of the circles have been operating for 15 years. p
