WILL WALK OUT.
POLAND'S THREAT. If High Commissioner of Danzig Resigns. ARGUMENT AT GENEVA, United Press Association.—Copyright (Received I p.m.) GENEVA, January 18. Poland threatened to walk out of the League if Dr. Karl Burckhardt resigned the League High Commissionership of Danzig. It is believed that Germany is prompting Poland's truculence. At a private meeting of the three members of the League's Danzig committee England and Krance did not favour the resignation, but Sweden favoured it. Dr. Xachum Goldmann, accredited Palestine representative to the League, urged Dr. Burckhardt's removal on the ground that the constitution of Danzig had been violated by the expulsion of the Jews. It is expected that Dr. Burckhardt will remain High Commissioner.
