An average entry of good quality ox beef sold under steady competition and realised very keen late rates. Heavy prime steers, £14 2/6 to £14 7/6; lighter prime steers, £13 12/6 to £14; light prime steers. £11 15/ to £13 10/; small and unfinished steers, £9 12/1 to £10 15/; extra heavy prime young cows and heifers, £10 10/ to £12 2/6. Heavy prime cows and heifers, £9 5/ to £10 5/; lighter prime cows and heifers, £7 15/ to £8 15/; light prime cows and heifers, £6 5/ to £7 10/; other killable cows, £4 5/ to £6.
