AGED 134 YEARS.
COCKATOO AT LONDON ZOO, LONDON. A 1.14-year-old sulphur-crested cockatoo. just received at the Ijotidon Zoo, probably holds the world's record for lpngevitv in a bird. It is carrying its years with both dignity and enjoyment. The cockatoo presented by Mr. C. R. T T rwin was received by the donor from a female relative in 1909, who had kept it for 20 years. _ She received it from her grandmother, who had possessed it ever since she was 22 until her death at the age of 87. and she in turn had received the bird from her mother, who had kept it for over 20 years.
