TOURIST TRAFFIC.
MORE LICENSES WANTED. DEPARTMENTS APPLICATIONS. Application for eight more tourist motor vehicle licenses for the Railways Department will be heard when the Xo. 1 and No. 2 Licensing Authorities hold a joint sitting in Auckland next week. It is stated that the applications will be for "general utility licenses," enabling the Department to enter the tourist traffic with motor vehicles oil any route. The sitting will begin at the Chief Post Office on Wednesday. •
