PLAYED CROWN AND ANCHOR.
ILLEGAL GAME OX "WHARF.
Plavmg a game of chance—crown and anchor on Central wharf on October -1, was the summons charge brought against Charles Eleazard in the Police Court to-dav.
Sub Inspector Fox said defendant explained that he brought his crown and anchor board down to the wharf to play just to fill in time. He said be onlv played -about once a month. However, last .Tulv he had been fined £'2 011 a similar charge, while defendant bad been previously convicted for a gamine offence, said Mr. Fox.
Mi. C. T>. Orr Walker, S.M., imposed a fine of £5 and costs.
Similarly charged, George .Tames Granich was fined £2 and costs.
