HEBREW UNIVERSITY POST. LECTURE TOUR IN NEW ZEALAND. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) e WELLINGTON, this day. The transformation of large areas of swamp and other useless land into fertile citrus fruit farm land, the establishment of secondary industries, and general modernisation of Palestine were described to-day by Dr. Benzion Shein, of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, who arrived by the Awat eaon a visit to New "Zealand.

Dr. Shein is a medical research worker, and is in the course of a world lecture tour undertaken at the request of the authorities of the Zionist Movement.

The purpose of his tour is to keep Jews throughout the world informed of what is taking riace in Palestine, and the progress that has been made in recent years. He is to lecture in New Zealand, and is to leave for the United States on January 24.

In an interview, Dr. Shein contrasted the present state of Palestine with Palestine as it was prior to 1920, and expressed the hope that in spite of the recent troubles the future would prpvide an opportunity for the continuation of peaceful settlement of the country.
