ADMINISTRATION OF ACT

WELLINGTON. Monday. An indication that the administrative appointments authorised by the Social Security Act. passed last session of Parliament, will be made at an early date was oiven by the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, in an interview to-night.

The Act establishes a Social Security Department, which is to be administered by a commission of not more than three fommissioncre acting under Ministerial direction.

The members of the Social Security Commission, who will be the principal officers of the new Social Security Depnrtment. will have to be appointed very soon— porta inly before the holidays,' said Mr. Savajro.
