Neither Viscount Halifax nor the Duke of Devonshire will accompany the King to Canada..While in the Dominion His Majesty will have members of the Canadian Cabinet as Ministers in attendance. It may be that Lord Halifax will accompany the King on a four-day visit to the United States, but no official decision has yet been made.

Lord Halifax railed at Buckingham Palace to-day and saw Prince Paul of Yugoslavia, who is staying there.

According to a cable message, the "Daily Telegraph" diplomatic correspondent has authoritatively confirmed that Lord Halifax will be in the United States when the King and Queen visit and will probably act aa Minister in attendance in the United States although these duties will be performed exclusively by a Canadian while Their Majesties are in Canada.

This correspondent adds that there is no reason to doubt that the Duke of Devonshire will accompany the King and Queen to Canada.

The Duke of Devonshire, before succeeding to the title on the death of his father in May last, was the Marquess of Hartington, Under-Secretary for the Dominions and M.P. for Devonshire. He is 42, served in the Great War and was educated at Eton and Cambridge. He married a daughter of the fourth Marquess of Salisbury. DOMINIONS SECRETARY. CHOICE OF NEW MINISTER.
