MISUSE OF THE BEACHES.

Speaking as one of the many mothers -who enjoy the relaxation from household duties by s pending their day in the ouiwhine on one of Auckland's beautiful beaches, I a *k is it not possible for the counties or boroughs concerned to prohibit youths from riding up and down on horseback and motor cycles. Recently I took my children to Buckland's Beach and spent my day in fear that they would either be kicked by horses' hoofs or run over by motor cycles. Surely the*e joy-rider* have plenty of open spaces in the country and on good roade without having to spoil many parent*' day of rest. On the day I refer to I saw two toddler* nearly hurt', and I am hoping to voice what many mothers feel very much. I trust that someone will do something about it. PEACEFUL.
