BRIDGE TOURNAMENT.

CLUBS MEET.

EVENING AT LYCEUM. The Lyceum Club bridge circle entertained the Northern Contract Club at a duplicate bridge tourna-nient, the evening being an outstanding success. The lounge was beautifully arranged with flowers. Mrs. W. H. Parkes, president of the Lyceum Club, presided and wore a dewberry velvet and gold lace ensemble. Mrs. J. VV. Nutter, convener, received the guests, and wore a black, and gold lace gown, with orchid shoulder spray. Mrs. H. V. Kerr, hon. secretary, was in peach bloom crepe, and Mrs. Fred Wilson (committee) was in royal blue lace. Mrs. Parkes and Mr. Wylie cut for places the clubs were to take at the tables. The winners for the evening will compete in March for the Mrs. J. W. Nutter Duplicate Cup, the present holder being the Lyceum Club bridge circle. The dining room was gay with flowers of yellow tonings, and after a delightful supi»er play was resumed. The winners were Mrs. Nettleton and Mrs. Newell for the Northern Contract Club; Mrs. Webb and Mrs. Buscke. Lyceum Clut> bridge circle (duplicate bridge); Mr. Lamb, first prize contract; Mrs. Parkes, hidden number auction.

Mrs. Parkes presented the prizes, and Mrs. Nutter, on behalf of the duplicate bridge circle, presented Mrs. Parkes with a small gift.
