FAMILY TICKET.
BUS AND TRAMCAR. AVAILABLE ON SUNDAYS. TRANSPORT BOARD AGREES. Approval was given this morning by dm Auckland Transport Board to the issue of a combined tram and bus ticket to be available for a family on Sundays at a cost of 3/. The suggestion came from Transport Bus Services. The |M'ii«id approved was for three months, when the position is to be reviewed. The chairman, the Hon. FT. 0. TJ. Mason, suggesting that the matter be approved forthwith, said that it was on the same lines as the I/O family trnm • ticket already in existence, ami t\ie. now I ticket hud thr same nhjcct ins the old. The summer was coming on rapidly, he said, anil that was the reason he wanted to hurry the proposal a long-. The scheme might be authorised, he added, subject to the approval of the manager. .Mr. A. K. l-'ord. Mr. J. Saycgh said that, while approving of the object outlined in the letter, he wondered whether the charge of l/(i would be enough to make the bus pari of the plan pay. The Chairman: The proposal comes from the bus people themselves. Mr. \Y. T. Anderton. M.l\, moved along tile lines suggested by the chairman, and the motion was seconded by Mr. 1.. < . Met lintock. It was stated that the new ticket would carry the same restrictions and privileges as the old.
