Mr. A. Howey Walker returned to Auckland from the south to-day. Mr. J. (1. L. Hewitt. S.M.. chairman of the Railways Appeal Board, lvas left for Wellington. Mr. «T. P. Moodabe will l>e a passenger for Wellington by the Limited express this evening. Mr. F. X. Ambler will be a passenger for the south by the Limited express for Wellington this evening. Mr. G. K. Hansard, of Auckland was a passenger in the Awatea which arrived at Wellington from Sydney this morning. Mr. S. E. Langstone. secretary-mana-ger of the St. John Ambulance Association in Auckland, left for Wellington by air this morning. Mr."A. Turner, supervisor of imported fruit for the Internal Marketing Department, will return to Wellington by train this evening. Mr. J. W. Heenan. Under-Secretary to the Department of Internal Affairs, in expected to be a passenger for the south by this evening's Limited express. Dr. W. Giltnour, pathologist to the Auckland Hospital, who has been conducting medical examinations in Dunedin, has returned to Auckland bv air. Dr. and Mrs. H. Burrell, have returned to Auckland after 18 months abroad. Most of this time was spent in London, where Dr. Burrell studied psychological medicine at the Maudslev Hospital, and at vadrus other hospitals. Mr. R. L. Taylor, of Wanganui, has been awarded the Stuart prize for science awarded to Stage I. students at Otago University. He left Wanganui Technical College at the beginning of the year, having been awarded a University and a Kuox Scholarship.
