MENTAL PATIENT'S ESCAPE
ROAD PLANT DAMAGED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) C'AMBKIIXiE. this day. A mental escapee from the Tokaanui Hospital caused much excitement in the Karapiro district early yesterday tnorning. He was clad only in his trousers, having thrown the rest of his clothes up on to some telephone wire*. He was eventually secured and was returned to the hospital, but not until he had caused considerable damage to some road plant.
