' Four men. accused by Mr. Edgar GL Hoover, chief G-man, of seven of Um i most vicious crimes in recent American [ history, were arrested after a ten-month i search by G-men. Most outstanding of the crime* was ■ the kidnapping and murder of Arthur t Fried, who was abducted last December r after being held for four days in a ; Lower East Side hide-out. The four arrested are Joseph Sacoda, 3 alias "Steve," now in Sing Sing Prison i for violating his parole; Demetrius Gula, • "Metro"; William Jacknis, alias *Villie Jackson; and John alias Murphy. . c Sacoda, accused of being the ringleader, is said to have been the man who shot Fried through the head when the £40.000 ransom which the fan'' demanded was not delivered.
