PRESENTATION.
RAILWAY STAFF FAREWELL. An event of interest to many railwaymen took place at the office of the works manager, railway workshops, Otahuhu, on Friday, when members of the clerical and supervisory staffs of the workshops met to bid farewell to Mr. G. W. Dodd. who is severing his connection with the railway service for the purpose of taking up farming in the Waikato district. Mr. Dodd has for the past eight years been a member of the clerical staff at Otahuhu workshops, ilurinjr which period he has proven himself a very efficient and courteous officer and a man of outstanding ability. Evi-j deiK-e of Mr. Dodd's popularity anil the ' very high esteem in which he is held by j his fellow workers was manifest in the ; ctilooistic references of the various i speakers, one and all joining in wishing Mr. and Mrs. Dodd happiness and stt'cess in the future.
