JOTTINGS ABOUT CLUBS

Coronation Club (Morniagaide).—We were very thrilled and delighted when one morning during this past week we received £2 from our good friends the members of the Coronation Club. Joyce Osborne is the captain of this wellknown club, and *he haw, I think, one dozen helpers. The £2 ww raised by a weight-guessing contest, the prize being 11 Christmas cake. Well done, Sunbeam* —and lots of thanks.

Herne Bay Rosetces. —The Kosetti* are a little band of Sunbeams living at Herne Hay. Thelma Smyth is the captain. and members include Marjjaret Tilby (secretary), Shirley Knock, Beverley Norwood, Tuppy Dennerley. Noreen Smith, Phyllis Smyth and Colleen Bush. We send them all a very warm welcome.

Lilac Club, Putaruru. —Do you rcmcmber the Lilac Club of I'lrtaruru? Knid Hainc* is the captain ami «he has seven helpers. This week we received £1 from this little country Hub, this turn being raised at a little fair held at one of the member's homes. We thank the Lilac Sunbeama very much for this most welcome gift. • • • •

MytKery Cavaliers (Drronport).— Merle .Johnstone and her busy band of Devonport Sunbeams are once again hard at work. This week we received the splendid sum of £2 from Merle and her helpers, and elsewhere on this page you will read how they raised this splendid amount. A big thank to you Merle, Kay, Evelyn, Pat and the new Cavalier, Margaret Eustace.

Otahuhu District School.—The Standard IV. girls of the Otahuhu District School are all hard at work once more, and this week the four combined Hubs —the Merry Mascots, Busy Beea, Helping Hands and Silent Workers—have united and have sent us an excellent contribution of £1 10/tt. To raise thia amount the Sunbeam* had a penny concert which we think watt a splendid idea. Congratulation* to these busy Otahuhu children.

Purple Patches (Mount Eden).— Yvonne Menzies is the captain of the Purple Patches, a little club of Ave SunbeaniK, including Mildred Jennings, Beverley Rudd, Joan Lane and Margaret Webber. We thank the Patches for a first gift of half a crown.

Starlets (Mount Albert).—What a wonderful surprise the Starlets had in ••tore for us this week when they handed in to Sunshine House a big fat envelope containing six pound notes. Elsewhere on this page you will read of the way in which the Starlets raised this exciting sum of money. Nor are the T wink lets idle. Indeed, they have been verv busy little folk and have sent iim !)/ for the fund. Wonderful work. Sunbeams.

Talua Club (Mount Albert).—We *vnd a warm welcome to the Sunbeams of the Talua Club —a little new club that has sprung up in the Mount Albert district. Dorothy Feathcrstonc is the captain and Dorothy's helpers are Kdna Robimon, (ieraldine Keogh, Margaret Wood, Lenore Stacy and Pamela Rogers. • • • •

The Three Sant«9 (Remuera). —Don't you think "The Three Santas" i« a lovely name for a Sunshine L'lilb. This is the name selected by Ann Bullock and her two club mates, Ruth Kenton and Allison (iribbin. They arrived at Sunshine House one afternoon last week with an opening gift of 11/2 for the holiday fund. A big welcome to this jolly little club. • • • •

Wakefield College Club (Auckland) — This Auckland school club i« making excellent progress. During the week the joint captains arrived at Sunshine House with a sum of £1 5/». This amount they had been given in small contributions by Waihi goldminer*. Later we received two further contributions—one of 10/ and one of 2/fl. __ Our be«t thanks to the YVakefleld College Sunbeams, and also to our miner friends.
