In presenting certificates to tlie winners in the various sections, the judsre anil referee. Mr. C. Bush, referred to the hijrli standard of boxins attained by the eonipetitors. He selected F. Archer, winner of tin' under "st Tib division, ns the most scientific boxer in the competitions. The headmaster. Mr. I". \V. Gamble, thanked the officials and members of the Auckland Boxin;r Association who had helped to make the tournament a success. Hi' also thanked Tommy .Tones for the fine exhibition given, and the pupils showed their gratitude by giving the visitor three cheers. Mr. \V. Harper was in charge of the appointments, and Mr. C.. Hush was judge and referee, other members of the association who helped witli the tournament were Messrs. Itugg. A. I'., .lopiin, !•". Horn. .T. Sloan and H. Watts.
