Mrs. Hainsworth said that an endeavour was being made to assemble a collection of articles of real interest on loan. She said that Lady Roberts, of Wellington, was in charge of the loan exhibits of this section. Rej>resentatives had been appointed in each of the four main centre* to receive the proposed exhibits, from which a selection could later be made. It was hoped also that similar articles which had already gone outr of the country might be obtained for exhibition. Mrs. Hainsworth said that it was surprising what keen interest was being taken in England in the women's section. It wu rather a surprising reflection on the ajwthy of the local jieople that keener interest had been shown by English and .Scottish jieople in th» arts and crafts section than by New Zealand women. The women's section of the exhibition will cover B<MK) square feet of floor space. A lecture hall ia to be a feature and Mrs. Hainsworth said that it was to )>e the object of the section to arrange for all distinguished women visitors to Wellington during the exhibition to give addresses on their particular subjects.
