OLD SCHOOL BURNED.
NO WATER TO CHECK FIRE. VALI.'ABLE R.F.CORDS DESTROYED. (From Our Own Correspondent.) TK AVVAMUTU, Friday. 'Hip ."Wi-year-old Kihikihi public school, situated on the Arapuni Road, was destroyed by tire to-night. The out* break wa« discovered at al>out 8.30 o'clock, the flames had a strong hold, but a* no water supply wiw available, nothing could be done to save the building. The cause of the lire is unknown. Plan* had been made for the celebration of the anniversary of the establishment. <>f the school to be held next year, but all record* relating to the school were destroyed in the lire.
