RICHMOND'S TURN.
TO TACKLE SYDNEY. TO-MORROW'S ATTRACTION. DEFENCE MUST BE COVERED. r J lit; Eastern Suburbs League team from Sydney will play the last match of their! tour at Curia w Park to-morrow, when they will meet Richmond, the winners of | the Roope Rooster trophy. The visitors have defeated two ot' the leading teams in Marist and Manukan, and a.s they are j anxious to preserve their unbeaten record ' a very keen match with Richmond is anticipated. Eastern Suburbs have shown themselves to be a fast and clever team, and their bright, and open football has made a big appeal to the Aucklund public. In Richmond, they will meet a team capable of playing them at their own game, a team which has shown splendid combination in recent matches, and team work which should stand them in pood ste;id. The Auckland team is strong, both in the forwards and the backs, and their contest with Kastern Suburbs should be a real test of the club strengths in Auckland and Sydney. In the two matches Eastern Suburbs have played an Auckland weakness in defence has been levealed, and it is ip this respect that Richmond will have to concentrate to hold the strong team that the risitors will put in the field. The Phelan Shield final will be played, prior to the big match, between Mannkau ancl Papakura, and a fast and open game is anticipated. Thirteena chosen: — KASTERN" SUBURBS. Full-back: J. Norton.
