ALBERTA'S POLITICS.
NO POLL TILL 1940.
RECLAMATION BY ABERHART.
CALGARY (Alta.)
Premier William Aberhart, Social Credit Premier, indicated there would be no provincial election in Alberta until 1940.
"I am convinced there is sufficient real vitality shown to carry our Government to the end of its full term of office," he told a« audience. "Then it is up to the people if they want us to carry on for another term." The Social Credit Government, elected in August, 1935, had not exhausted all its strategic moves. "In fact," Mr. Aberhart said with reference to the disallowance. by the courts and Federal Government of several pieces of legislation enacted by the Alberta Social Credit Legislature, "we are only just beginning.
"If the people will pay their taxes, so that we don't need to get involved in borrowings, we'll make progress."
