FARMERS DISSATISFIED.
"It is the opinion of this executive that, since the advisory committee on the guaranteed price was unanimous in its decision, its recommendation should have been adopted in full," states a resolution which was carried at a meeting of the Auckland provincial executive of the New Zealand Farmers' Union.
'We are profoundly dissatisfied with the Government's explanation of its refusal to accept that recommendation," the resolution proceeds." We consider, further, that the dairv farmer's standard of living is still substantially below that of other sections of the community rendering no more wseful service, and that the failure of young New Zealanders to adopt farming as a career is proof of this contention."
