EMPIRE BUTTER.
LONDON COMPETITION
AUSTRALIAN ENTRIES WIN
LONDON, September 26.
I In the Empire butter competitions there were' 44 entries in each class. Australian competitors won all the awards for both salted and unealted. The Empire cheese section drew 38 entries, and New Zealand Co-operatives took all the awards, as follows: Pinebush 1, Otahuti 2, Pahia 3. Mokotna Reserve and Menzies Ferry were very highly commended. Very few entries of New Zealand butter were received for the competition, which is held in our off season. Cheese is a different matter, as it keeps longer in store. All the awards in this section were won by factories in the far south, which have a reputation for making excellent cheese, being favoured by the cold climate.
