DAISY CHAIN CLUB.
The Patrician Rooms presented a gay scene last week when the Daisy Chain Club met for its weekly meeting. Mrs. Lord, the president, was in the chair and there was a very large attendance of members. The thought for the day, "Just being happy," was read by the secretary, Mrs. Barfoot, and then followed an excellent programme arranged by ladies of table No. 4.
Mrs. Dreaver gave an interesting address on "Babies," concluding with two humorous sketches entitled "His First Long Pants" and "The Trials of a Teacher." Solos were rendered by Miss Howland and Mrs. Millar, accompanied by Mrs. Dye. Competitions and novelty items were won by Mesdaniea Hogg, sen., Skinner, Edmonds, Mardell and Woodward. The funds of the good cheer box for the sick and needy benefited greatly by the efforts of these ladies.
