The four sons of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Chadderton, of Mount Roskill, tendered a most enjoyable evening to their parents, who left by the Maunganui for ft short holiday visit to Sydney. About 13b gtiests assembled to wish them a pleasant journey and a safe return. The gUests of honour were received by Mr. and Mrs. Harlen and Mrs. Chadderton was presented with a beautiful bouquet. The presentation was made by the youngest son, Arthur, and Miss Joyce Honeycombs, on behalf of the four sons. Dancing and items were the order of the evening, Mr. Len Harlen officiating as master of ceremonies. Mr. and Mrs. Atkins won the Monte Carlo. Items were supplied by the following artists: The International Four (quartet), Mr. C. J. Fleming (piano accordion). Miss Nola Howe (recitation, song and dance), Mr. A. Morrow and performing dog. Mr. Broadribb (mouth organ solos), and Mr. J. T. Chadderton (monologue).
