MR. J. E. CLOSE'S CAMPAIGN
Criticism of the alleged action of the Government in taking away the freedom of the _individual was voiced by Mr. J. E. Close, National candidate for Waitemata, before an audience of 50 at Silverdnle yesterday.
At Dairy Flat, where Mr. Clo«e addressed another and a larger meeting, he declared that under financial strain the Government's social security plan would eventually break, but the National party's purpose would be to put into effect a similar scheme on a sound financial basis.
