After an extended visit to other parts of New Zealand, Mr. E. H. F. Swain. w r , c r m r sio " er ° f south Wales and Mr. M. B. Welch, chief of the wood technology division, returned to Auckland yesterday from the south, where they have been discussing timber trade relations. 68 - id that New Zealand couM rely on reciprocity in the exchange o timbers, and the Dominion could obtain as many hardwood poles and sleepers as it required from Australia. He hoped that New Zealand would send a strong delegation to the Timber Development Congress, which was to be held in Melbourne at the end of next month. The visitors left for Rotorua to-dav and will return to Australia at the end of the month.
