DROP IN BUTTER.

CHEESE SALES DULL

LOXDOX, September 22. The butter market is depressed, Danish having declined to 133/ per cwt, choicest salted New Zealand to 116/ and 117/, and Australian to 111/ and 112/. I" n sal ted is quoted at a premium of 1/, but all prices are largely nominal. 1 Cheese is dull, Sew Zealand white and coloured *e ling at 72/ and Australian at 00/ and 09/6.

New Zealand butter has declined 8/ per cwt over the la«t fortnight in spite of the lact that stocks in London are small. The drop in Australian has been even more drastic, white Danish ha« been comparatively steady. Weakness in the butter market is unusual at this time of the year when
