WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE.
The Government Meteorologist issued to the " Auckland Btar" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Hapiilton, Tauranga and Kawhia:— Light to moderate winds between east and north. Weather mainly fine at first, but with cloud increasing, and later some scattered drizzling rain developing from the north. Temperatures mild. Seas smooth to moderate. Pressure remains high and uniform over New Zealand and has risen again also over southern Australia. A shallow depression is, however, advancing across the Tasman Sea and conditions are still 'somewhat disturbed near Norfolk Island. HAURAKI OULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, north-east, fresh; sea, alight; weather, cloudy, but fine; visibility, good; barometer, steady.
