ACCIDENT AT RUN CI MAN.
'PHONE WIRES BROUGHT DOWN
A miraculous escape from injury was «y«rienced by Mr. A. L. W. Hansen, of Oargaville, when the car he was driving through Runciman yesterday morninjr ♦werved off the road and smashed a telegraph pole in half. An iron rail supporting the post was also broken. It was stated that another car was passin* Mr. Hansen at the time of the accident! Both vehicles were going north. The accident occurred 100 yards from the Runciman Post Office. The impact brought many wires down, and the telephone service was temporarily interrupted. .
The car wu damaged, but not extensively.
