FIRES AT RANFURLY. i YOUNG MAN FOR SENTENCE. (Br Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Wednesday. Arising out of two fires at Ranfurly early on the morning of September 8, Harold Robert Black, aged 24, a single man, was charged in the Police Court with arson. The accused pleaded guilty, In a statement to the police he said he burnt down the shops because of financial difficulties with the object of securing insurance money.
