BOAT HARBOUR.
DEVOMPOBT SCHEME. "The Harbour Board apparently has in mind some major construction scheme," Raid Mr. E. Aldridge, deputyMayor of Devonport. last night when advice was received by the council from the Auckland Harbour Board that the engineer. Mr. D. Holderness, had been instucted to submit a boat harbour scheme for Devonport. The council agreed to co-operate in the matter.
In addition, the Harbour Board forwarded an offer of £50 towards the cost of building a graded storm embankment at the Devonport Yacht Club's site at King Edward's Parade.
The council decided to write to the club informing them of the position. A committee was set up to confer with the club.
