COLLAPSE IN CITY.
ELDERLY MAN'S DEATH. While being taken to the Auckland Hospital in a St. John ambulance after he had had a seizure when attending a function at clubrooms in the city last evening, Major Peter Jenkin Wayne collapsed and died. Formerly a well-known farmer and sportsman at Waimate, South Canterbury, Major Wayne went to Sydney some years ago, only recently settling •at " Auckland. Major Wayne was aged 72 and was a married man with an adult family. He lived at St. Leonard's Road, Mount Eden.
