TWENTY-NINTH ANNUAL MEJBTING
The 29th annual meeting of the Panmure Boating Club was held last evening, Mr. S. Wilson presiding over a good attendance. The report submitted by Mr. h. Hamlin stated that 14 races were held, last season and good entries were received, especially for (lie clubs regatta, when the boats were divided into two clause*. lhe clubhouse. Wharf Koad, l'anmure. was in good order and its enlargemenr was under consideration. Several new boats had been placed on the register, with an increase in liii-inbei-ship. The balance-sheet showed a satisfactory credit or. the year's work and was adopted on the chairman's motion and Mr. Hamlin accorded a vote of thankri. The following officers were elected Tor the svason ID3S-3D: —Patron, Mr. K. Mvers: president. Mr. P. Kothery ; vicepresidents, as hist year; commodore. Mr. (Ira, Valise- vice-commodore. Mr. E. Aldi*; r<ar-commodore. Mr. 1.. Pilkington: lion, secretary and treasurer. Mr. S. Hamlin: lion, solicitor. Mr. It. Irquhart : lion, auditor. Mr. 1,. Knight '. handieapper, Mr. A. .1. Tobin ; starter, timekeeper and judge, Mr. S. Hamlin: assistant. Mr. U Pilkington ; committee. Mesurs. A. .7. Tobin, .1. Trail, A. Taylor. I. Nuncaster. T. Kenton, T. Kilgour, K. Bryan. , . Mr. Vaune, on behalf of the club, preneuted the retiring commoilore. Mr. S. Wilson, with a silver tea and coffee service. Mr. Wilson, he said, held the office of commodore for the past eight years and it was largely due to his efforts that the new clubhouse was built and the club brought to its present flourishing condition. Mr. \\ llrton suitably acknowledged the gift. The meeting closed with a vote of thanks to Mr. .S. Hamlin.
