The Otago Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association has decided to advise the New Zealand Council that it preferred to go ahead with its own tour by Australian athlete*! rather than take part in the council's proposed Dominion Ted Best (sprinter) and Gerald Backhouse (distances) will probably appear at Christchurch. Wellington and Auckland after their Otago itinerary.
