STATE HOUSES.
OPENING AT DEVOWPOKT. The first house, in a group of 36 house units built under the State housing scheme on hi«»h land overlooking the Takapuna Jockey Club's former racecourse will be opened by Mr. W. J. I>yon. M.P. for Waitemata in the i last Parliament, on Saturday morning Twenty-six of the house units are nearing completion. The house which has been finished, and in which the / first tenant is to be installed, is in " Xicol Avenue, Devonport.
